Instead of me just telling that you should use something, today, I'm going to give you 10 reasons why Dandelion Greens are a wonderful choice for smoothies:
#1 High In Calcium ~ Just one cup of these greens has 103 milligrams (10% of the recommended daily value) of calcium. That's slightly more than Kale.
#2 Rich in Iron ~ One cup contains 1.7 milligrams
#3 Low Calories ~ One cup has only 25 calories, which is actually more than some of the other greens but still very low.
#4 The Ultimate detox & Cleansing green ~ If your goal is to detox and cleanse this should be your green of choice (Great Liver Cleanser)...people always over look this one and think of it as a Spring/Summer green only...IT'S NOT.
#5 Loaded with Antioxidants ~ High in Vitamin A & C
#6 Lots of Minerals ~ Good source of copper, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium.
#7 14% Protein ~ these greens have more protein than Spinach and they are a complete protein because they contain the essential amino acids.
#8 Multivitamin in a LEAF ~ Yes with the above vitamins I mentioned they also contain B1, B2, B6, Vitamin E and they are abundant in Vitamin K... which is GREAT for the O blood type.
#9 Nutritional Booster ~ When eaten or added with other greens they are a great source of helping to get more of the nutrition in our bodies.
#10 Health Benefits ~ These greens if added to your diet can help reduce the risk of cancer, multiple sclerosis, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration and stroke.
SO... Now that I got your attention how about adding a little to your smoothie...It just takes 1 cup!
