How To Sprout Raw Almonds

Why would I do this you ask?  Well, it's a super easy superfood, they taste delicious, and having the almonds sprouted makes it much easier for your body to absorb their many nutrients.  Not, to mention this is crazy simple to do and doesn't take much time.

 Method:

1) Simply take raw (not roasted) almonds and cover them with filtered water, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
2) After about 6 hours, gently rinse the almonds, cover with fresh water and re-wrap.  I place the shallow bowl near a window with indirect sunlight, this seems to allow them to sprout quicker.
3) After the almonds have become plump and you can see little sprouts they are ready.  This has never taken longer than 24 hours and sometimes less.  When they are done, gently rinse again and place in a small container.  Put them in the refrigerator to keep them fresh or eat them ASAP.  They last up to three days in the refrigerator.

Uses:

I put my almonds on salads, in smoothie bowls, or just eat them... (You can even make almond milk if you would like).  Once you eat a sprouted almond you won't want to eat them dry ever again.  They are really creamy and aren't as dry and bitter as the dry ones will now taste.

See how fresh and plump they look!  hey taste just as good.
In this picture you can see the raw almond on the left vs. the sprouted almonds on the right!  Which one do you want to eat now????
